Hi its me, Star Doc, thought I'd come back. I forgot my password so thought I'd create a new account. I'll pop in every once in a while, but gonna avoid the more heavy topics for now for the sake of my own sanity. :D

Anyways, what really inspired me to pop back was I saw a film called The Room with a few mates in Bristol the other day. And let me tell you, I have never, ever seen a film that fits the category so well as SO BAD ITS GOOD. In fact, its so bad, its absolutely fucking amazing, which presents us with one of the most quotable lines in history, YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, LISA!!!!

Heres an example of the delivery, followed by a few clips to boot.

But thats nothing.

The 'story', is this. Johnny has a great career, a beautiful fiance named Lisa, who cheats behind his back with his best mate, Mark. Lisa gets Johnny drunk and makes up stories that he 'hit' her, which drives Johnny nuts, because, as he so eloquently puts it, he did naaaaaaaaaaat.

Johnny is a very much loved character in the film by all but Lisa, who finds Johnny boring. Even the florist considers him as 'her favourite customer.' (Btw, this must be the most rushed scene ever shot in history. Almost as tho they never got permission to film there so did everything as fast as possible).

The film ends with Johnny feeling betrayed, so he has something of a nervous breakdown and throws a TV, calls Mark a chicken (cheeep cheeep cheeep cheeeeeeep) and gets fed up with this world.

The room was shot on a tiny budget of 7 million dollars. That legend you see in the black hair whose such a pro actor, wrote, directed, produced and starred. Apparently he made the budget by selling leather jackets his whole life. It was released not in the early 90s, but in 2003!

It contains some of the most astonishing line delivery, dialogue, and acting I've ever come across.

The Room is fast becoming a major cult classic amongst the likes of people like Paul Rudd and many others. No doubt, John Waters is a fan. Its something which really deserves to go down in history. Its become a personal favourite of mine, merely for the fact that I've seen it 3 times in one week, and it just makes me piss myself from beginning to end.

As it has no British DVD release (if you wanna copy gimme a hollar and your adress and I'll send it) and its amazing that its seeded by so many (including me) it downloads within a few hours, whereas most films tend to take days.

You must watch this film. Its the ultimate masterpiece of bad movie making. Its as tho it was made by a robot or alien who tried to mimmick human emotions by watching bad 80s/90s soap operas.

Here is the full trailer:

So was it made in deliberate bad taste, or from the heart? I'm still not so sure.....

Got to be honest. With those lines of dialogue I can't see any actor alive being able to deliver them.

Seems that way doesnt it. I'm really not sure if it was deliberatly shit or if the actor/director/writer/producer (bit like Garth) really didn't know what he was doing.

But yes for any fan of Garth Merenghi it is a must. Me and dogs are already big fans.

Plus I have no idea why this guy thinks chickens go 'cheep cheep cheep.'

Is Mansquito as bad as this?
